Delete Venmo account if you are tired of using it 😆
That was harsh, right?
Sorry about that.
I’m not sure why you want to close your Venmo account but this post will guide you.
This post promises to walk you through the steps on how to deactivate Venmo.
Venmo deletes accounts permanently for users who are not interested in using their services anymore.
So be sure that you really want to delete the account before you proceed.
If you are sure that you want to delete your account, let’s get started.
How to delete Venmo account
In order to do this, you must have access to a desktop.
Navigate to the cancel option in the settings section of your account.
You can visit this direct link on your desktop browser and at the bottom of the page, tap on “Close my Venmo account”.
What this does is that it closes your Venmo account from a desktop device and not in the app or mobile devices.
You must also note that if you have any business profile that it will be permanently deleted by deactivating your personal account.
At that point, there is nothing Venmo customer service can do about it.
Before deleting the Venmo account
Any fund you have left in your account before closing the account will not be available to you without contacting the Venmo team.
This is why it is advisable to either send funds back to the sender or transfer the money from your Venmo account to your bank account.
Then you can go ahead and delete the account permanently.
Requesting to close your Venmo account will NOTÂ automatically complete all pending transactions.
Be sure that you do not have any pending transactions at the point of trying to close the account.
If you have any pending transactions, you will be prompted to complete them before closing the account.
You will still get the history of transactions on the email on file with Venmo.
Now you know how to delete a Venmo account, let’s know if there was there anything you did not understand.
