The steps for Windows and Mac users are pretty similar.

But let me start with the Windows users.

For Windows users, simply Navigate to Thunderbird and go to tools, then options – advance – General then config editor.

In the case of Mac users, you will have to accept the risk by tapping on the button “I accept the risk!”

The second step is to paste this phrase “mailnews.tcptimeout” without the quotation sign in the search field.

Then modify it by right-clicking on the modify option on the row.

Now modify the value to 2000 or even more.
